IDentity.Next’11, the unique, user driven (un)- conference will take place at the 7AM conference centre in The Hague, the governmental city of Peacy and Justice. This European (un)-conference will be content rich and have an independent perspective to differentiate it from other conferences consisting of debates, workshops and presentations surrounding the world of the 'Digital IDentity'
The program committee assembled a program with top experts, professionals and industry stakeholders to discuss the world around 'Digital Identity' and best practices that related to one of these themes.
Social consumer - The developments of the social consumer identity and its personal datastore are rapid. Consumers would like to be in control of their (personal) data and identity and are looking for (social) ) tools to turn around the current value chain of e.g. online retail.
MobileMe - No device is more personal than your mobile phone. Studies have shown people would rather lose their wallet than their mobile. The mobile phone is used to connect their friends, to our work and to the world and making transactions. How it is possible to control your identity through a mobile phone.
Private Eye - Privacy is not clear cut information, anymore. Difference in perceptions of information are evident between social networks, online stores and government. It is therefore becoming a domain related concept. It seems that some services collect information on some of those domains, and knows more about a person that the persons knows about themselves.
eCitizen - Who will provide the citizen with their digital identity? Early initiatives pointed to a central role of government itself in the control and provision of public and private digital identity. But approaches are diverging. Some governments choose to seize identity, others to radically defer it to the market, while any scenario has to deal with the citizen’s own demand for control and usability.
